Regresa el Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Elche – FANTAELX, en cuya séptima edición celebra el cuadragésimo aniversario de Alien, película dirigida por Ridley Scott. El ilustrador Joan Martín Giménez ha diseñado el cartel inspirándose en una de las obras cinematográficas más importantes de la ciencia-ficción y del terror, la cual será proyectada durante el festival.
El festival se celebrará del 14 al 16 de noviembre de 2019, y entre sus actividades tendrá lugar el II Congreso Internacional de Género Fantástico, Audiovisuales y Nuevas Tecnologías, cuya línea temática protagonista de este año será la ciencia-ficción en el contexto cosmológico. También se podrá volver a contar con las proyecciones de cortometrajes, donde se podrán ver reconocidos trabajos de ciencia-ficción, terror y fantasía.
La séptima edición del festival está organizada por la Asociación Unicornio Negro, el Departamento de Arte de la UMH, y el Grupo de Investigación Massiva, y cuenta con el apoyo de la Concejalía de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Elche, junto a organismos como Visit Elche, el Centro de Congresos «Ciutat d’Elx», la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, el Vicerrectorado de Cultura y Extensión Universitaria, los Cines Odeón, el Centro Comercial l’Aljub, o la tienda de merchandising cinematográfico Cinema Paradiso.
Todas las actividades del festival son de acceso gratuito hasta completar aforo, sin necesidad de reserva previa de invitación.

Elche International Fantastic Film Festival – FANTAELX returns, in which its seventh edition celebrates the fortieth anniversary of Alien, the film directed by Ridley Scott. The illustrator Joan Martín Giménez has designed the poster inspired by one of the most important cinematographic works of science-fiction and horror, which will be screened during the festival.
The festival will be held from November 14 to 16, 2019, and among its activities will be held the II International Congress of Fantastic Genre, Audiovisuals and New Technologies, whose main theme line this year will be science-fiction in the cosmological context. Short films will also be screened again, with recognized works of science fiction, horror and fantasy.
The seventh edition of the festival is organized by the Black Unicorn Association, the Art Department of the UMH, and the Massiva Research Group, and has the support of the Department of Culture of the City of Elche, Visit Elche, the Congress Center “Ciutat d’Elx”, Miguel Hernández University, the Vicerectorate of Culture and University Extension, the Odeon Cinemas, the Aljub Shopping Center, or the cinema merchandise shop Cinema Paradiso.
