En la actualidad, ya establecida la Guerra Civil Española como inicio de la Segunda Guerra Mundial junto a la Guerra Sinojaponesa, esta ruta le llevará a conocer una forma diferente de entender una guerra, desde el punto de vista humano y arquitectónico, cómo sin experiencia previa se va produciendo un desarrollo de las construcciones y de la mentalidad, cómo se inventan y solventan problemas sobre la marcha, cómo siempre se intenta dejar una huella sobre las construcciones, o cómo se gestionan los recursos entre la costa y el interior. Gran parte de estas construcciones son completamente desconocidas para el público general pues se encuentran en lugares alejados y recónditos, pero todas formando parte de un concepto general: El Cinturón de Hormigón.
